What is Wart?

A wart is a small, rough growth resembling a cauliflower or a solid blister. It typically occurs on humans' hands or feet but often in other locations. Warts are caused by a viral infection, specifically by one of the many types of human papillomavirus (HPV). There are as many as 10 varieties of warts, the most common considered to be mostly harmless. It is possible to get warts from others; they are contagious and usually enter the body in an area of broken skin. They typically disappear after a few months but can last for years and can recur.

Warts Removal Treatment in Tunisia

Laser warts removal treatment does not cause the discomfort often associated with other types of warts removal and is safe for adults and children of all ages. The number of warts removal treatments required to permanently remove warts depends on the size, location and number of warts. Simple warts may only need a single treatment whereas deeper, stubborn warts may require several laser warts removal treatments.

How does Laser Wart Treatment work?

The energy from the laser does two important things in eliminating the wart.

  • First the laser energy likely destroys the virus that causes the wart.
  • Second the laser energy eliminates the blood supply that nourishes the wart. It is also believed that the inflammation caused by the laser treatment increases the body immune response to the area, which helps in eliminating the virus.

When are results anticipated?

Depending on the location and size of the wart results can take 1 to 4 treatments. Warts on the hands and feet, and large warts may take 4 or more treatments for optimal results. Laser wart treatments are performed every 4 weeks.

How long does the Laser Wart Treatment last?

Once a wart has been successfully treated it is rare that it will return in the same exact area. However, because warts are caused by viruses it is very possible that you may develop new warts in other locations in the future. These warts, at that time, can be treated with the laser.
